2nd version 3 k6, 4th version 3 radio, 5th k6, 9th quansheng. ... it's safe to say i really like these radios. there are at least a half a dozen various custom firmware options, but i have f4hwn on all of mine (5 version 1, and 4 version 3). because both ham and gmrs are dead around here at least 90% of the time, i scan air and public service as well, and for scanning speed, not much else compares, especially in low cost radios. i'd like to say i'm done buying these, but when this one came up for just over $15, thanks to aliexpress coins, i couldn't pass it up.

It would have been wonderful if I had known about it earlier. It's even better if you update the firmware.

Super packaging of the order. All the boxes are dented and one even has ventilation holes (see photo) ;) I won't order from this seller again.

I ordered three radios, received all the boxes crumpled and one with a ventilation hole (as shown in the photo). I lost the desire to order from this seller with such packaging.

I have the v1 and got this. in both i use the f4hwn firmware and there are some differences. the v3 has more options in the menu and a better ui. i had the felling that v1 has a better audio reception, i remember on the same channels i could hear cleaner and louder speech but when i tested them side by side the v3 was slightly better in reception and i am only guessing that it triggered the squelch in lower signals, when the signal was not good enough so it gave the impression of not hearing well. overall a great tool.

The radio is working, everything is fine.
Just to clarify for firmware experts: this is a V3 radio, the firmware for other versions is not compatible!

It arrived as advertised, all items from the Outdoor Edition were included, just need to wait for it to charge before starting the tests. One note regarding the programming cable that came from the Baofeng brand, but despite that, I recommend the seller.

Very nice. came on time. using the factory firmware they copied settings and frequency settings directly from older k5 versions without the use of a computer or cable. i recommend these version 3 radios.
